On Tuesday, January 26, 2016, Lehigh University hosted a reception and panel discussion on A Mountaintop Initiative: Big Hope for Little Hands in The New York Academy of Sciences near the World Trade Center in New York City. Patrick V. Farrell, provost and vice president for academic affairs, moderated the panel, which included William Best, professor of practice of mechanical engineering and co-director of IDEAS, and Elena Ramirez '15, one of the members of the team that maximized 3-D printing technology to create exoskeletons that may one day be used in pediatric rehabilitation. Those in attendance learned more about Mountaintop, the 3-D exoskeletons project, and other student led projects from this important initiative. Photos by John Kish IV.
