The Office of Alumni Relations honored first-generation graduates and their families at a lunch following the 151st Spring Commencement on May 20, 2019. The inaugural event recognized and celebrated the deep significance of the graduates' journeys in being the first in their families to earn a college degree.
Nearly 300 attendees enjoyed an international buffet and remarks from Lehigh President John Simon '19P, Lehigh University Board of Trustees member Edward Ramos '89, and first-generation graduate Kiana Nieves '19.
