With a view of the Hudson River through the West Side of Manhattan, over 120 members of Lehigh University’s Asa Packer Society convened at The New York Times building on March 21, 2012, for an intimate discussion on Beyond Hype: How U.S. Education Competes Globally.
The event included Alice Gast, president; Gary Sasso, dean of the College of Education; host Michael Golden ’71; and keynote speaker Alexander W. Wiseman, associate professor of comparative and international education (CIE).
