On Tuesday, February 23, 2016, Lehigh University hosted a reception and panel discussion on Big Data Analytics: A Data X Initiative in The Down Town Club in Philadelphia. Dan Lopresti, director of the Data X Initiative and professor and chair for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, moderated the panel, which included Allan Frank '76 '78G '79G, Chief IT Strategist and Co-founder, The Hackett Group, and Partner, Liquidhub, and Dr. Stephen Klasko '74, President and CEO of Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health. Those in attendance learned more about the Data X Initiative, as well as the Mountaintop Initiative, which included a variety of student-led projects from 3-D printed exoskeletons and concept cars to early childhood building blocks.
