On Wednesday, March 30, 2016, Lehigh University hosted a reception and discussion on Big Data Analytics: A Data X Initiative in the Boston PricewaterhouseCoopers offices, hosted by Barry Okun '83, partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers. Dan Lopresti, director of the Data X Initiative and professor and chair for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and John Simmons, principal, PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory, discussed how advances in computing and data analytics are transforming the ways companies, and PwC in particular, serve their clientele. Those in attendance learned more about the Data X Initiative, as well as the Mountaintop Initiative, which included a variety of student-led projects from 3-D printed exoskeletons and concept cars to early childhood building blocks.
