The Grace Hall Viewing Party was a fun-filled place to be on Friday, October 2, 2015. In addition to viewing the Founder's Day Ceremony, there was plenty for attendees to enjoy, including photo opps with 'Asa Packer' and Clutch, good food, giveaways, musical entertainment, trivia contests, and more. Emcee and Assistant Dean of Students, Lori McClaind, led a warm and enthusiastic welcome to President John D. Simon from Grace Hall on behalf of the entire Lehigh community. Lori, along with four special guests, had some surprise gifts in store for President Simon: Thomas Healy, Jr., Class of 1985, presented a sextant to help Simon "find Lehigh's shining stars across the globe and sail us into a successful future." Professor Scott Gordon, Department of English, presented a From This Mountain anniversary book to help Simon "draw upon the collective wisdom of the entire Lehigh community." Mary Jo McNulty, Office of Human Resources, presented Simon with a Lehigh umbrella, gloves, and sunglasses to aid him in his journeys. While Michael Garzillo, Class of 2016, speaking for the entire student body, presented Simon with a Lehigh jersey, emblazoned with the number "14" as a symbol of their support and commitment.
