Following the Founder's Day Ceremony on Friday, October 2, 2015, the Brown & White Celebration was a very special birthday celebrating Lehigh's 150th! The campus party was hosted by Zoellner Arts Center and held in a magnificent tent in Tamerler Courtyard, and it featured a hearty buffet, an awe-inspiring performance from the Department of Music, a light show extravaganza, and a special birthday toast. The Marching 97 performed the overture, while Patrick V. Farrell, provost and vice president for academic affairs, along with Elif Anda '16 and Frederick Coleman '17, offered welcoming remarks. The Brown and White Celebration Multi-Media Experience included performances by the Lehigh Jazz Faculty with the Hell's Kitchen Funk Orchestra, directed by Bill Warfield; the Lehigh Symphonic Chamber Ensemble, directed by Paul Salerni; and the Lehigh University Wind Ensemble and Choir, directed by David Diggs and Steven Sametz, as well as readings by Stephanie Powell Watts and Bob Watts, associate professors of English.
