The Asa Packer Society hosted an evening in Washington, D.C., on May 5, at the Newseum, the interactive museum of news and journalism on Pennsylvania Avenue. Guests, including Lehigh's Incoming President John Simon, were invited to explore the seven levels of exhibits, theaters, and galleries and experience the news of yesterday and today as witnessed by the media. A reception and program followed in the Knight Conference Center featuring a discussion on the future of journalism with Martin Baron '76 '76G '14H, executive editor of The Washington Post, and Jack Lule, professor and chair of the Department of Journalism and Communication at Lehigh.
